Officially at 16 months old, the club has gone a long way and its future seems bright. For the past 11 months alone, the club was fortunate to have the following personalities as lecturers: Melai Lopez of Ayala Alabang Camera Club, Moises Esguerra, Nino Carandang of DPP, Jun Miranda of PCCI, Mon Castillo of SLR, Ibarra Deri of PCCI, Mr. George Tapan, Dail Deri of PCCI and Jetro Rafael. A special meeting was also held last July 2008 for a very special guest in the person of Manny Librodo. Mr. Librodo, through Melai Lopez, took time off from his busy schedule and gave a short lecture to the club. It was very well attended by the members as well as other invited guests. Hopefully, we continue to get more of the big names in the photo industry.
Next month, we’ll celebrate our Christmas party. This is when the awards for the Photographer of the Year will be given out. Also, the new sets of officers will be officially introduced to the club. They are Rhedd Viray – Club President, Tine Guevarra – Club Secretary and Fatz Brown – Club Treasurer. Good luck guys! Lastly, the monthly themes for 2009 will also be announced.
Looking forward, everybody is hoping to have more than one OTS for next year. For now, nothing beats the experience we had going up Mt. Pinatubo early 2008.
Ciao.
